Do you offer a discount to service men and women?

Yes, please ask us about our discount!

Can I come see the barn?

Yes! Rustic Gatherings barn is located on the Leonard’s family farm so we ask that you call to make an appointment.

How many guests will Rustic gatherings accommodate?

The barn will accommodate 170 guest (seated).  We have an attached patio that will hold an additional 40 people.  There is also an outdoor arena area for the ceremony.

Are tables and chairs included in the barn rental?

Yes! We have 18 – 8’ tables, 8 – 6’ tables and 15 – 60” round tables. We have 200 white wood padded seat folding chairs and 96 white Lifetime folding chairs available for you to use.

Is there anything else included in the price of the barn rental?

Yes! We have various rustic and unique decorations available for your use. Please see the Decoration Inventory List.

 

 

 

 

What type of floor is in the barn?

Smooth concrete.

What type of bathrooms does the barn have?

Rustic Gatherings has a new Portable Bathroom Trailer that is thoroughly cleaned after each event.  We are currently working with the State on a septic permit for indoor restroom and add=on.

Is the barn climate controlled?

We have radiant heated floors for the cooler weather. At this time we do not have AC. Portable AC units can be rented from an outside vendor.

Is there electricity at the barn?

Yes, we have several outlets throughout the barn.

Is there onsite parking?

At this time we have a designated parking area in the field across the lane in front of the barn.   By end of year, we plan to have a designated gravel parking area as well.

Does the barn allow smoking?

Yes, there are 2 designated smoking areas outside the barn.

How long do we have for the rehearsal?

You can have up to 4 hours for the rehearsal and decorating of the barn. This can be scheduled on any day during the week prior to your wedding day that is agreeable to both our schedules.

How do I reserve my date?

To secure your date, you will need to sign a contract and pay 25% of rental fee.   The next rental fee payment of 50% is due 6 months prior to your wedding date. The remaining 25% is due 8 weeks prior to the wedding date.  The Substantial Cleaning and Damage Fee can be paid at any time up to the week prior to the wedding date.

What is Special Event Insurance?

Special Event Liability and Property Damage Insurance is designed to indemnify the event host from certain types of claims that could arise from your event. Rustic Gatherings requires the certificate to be provided to us 30 days prior to your event. You may purchase it from homeowners and renter insurance companies.   Special Event Liability and Property Damage Insurance generally cost $50 to $100

What are my catering options?

Rustic Gatherings has a list of local vendors who we highly recommend, however you are not required to use them. You may choose your own caterer or self-serve your event.

Can we have alcohol?

Rustic Gatherings does not hold a liquor license. If you want beer and wine only, you will need to obtain a Temporary Beer and Wine Permit and hire a bartender.  If you want to have liquor served, you must have a licensed alcoholic beverage caterer. You can find more information at www.in.gov/atc/2409.htm . Host Liquor Liability will need to be added to the one day Special Event Insurance.

Are there any restrictions concerning music?

We want to be respectful of our neighbors. DJ’s and live music must be kept at a reasonable sound level.

What can we toss as the newlyweds depart?

We asked that you use birdseed’s, fresh flower pedals or bubbles.  Please let us know if you wish to use something else.

Do you have animals at the barn?

Yes, Rustic Gatherings property is home to 6 horses year round and several cows come to stay during the summer. Our horses’ names are Strawbaby, Gus, Max, Red, Remark, Belle, and Tidbit!
